Training through the Tradeworks FabShop offers courses run by professional certified instructors who provide in-depth, intensive and personalized training. The current training courses include:
Essential Skills & Carpentry Training
The program combines training and a social enterprise, providing trainees with carpentry instruction and then giving them up to 20 weeks of work in a production operation. In addition to the technical skills training, participants are coached and supported to help them stay focused, deal with problems outside the workplace, and better understand the expectations of employers. Industrial Equipment Training
The Tradeworks FabShop provides several opportunities for certified job readiness skills training in the form of Warehousing and Industrial Mobile Equipment Training for new operators. These include training for operators of forklifts, skid steers and scissorlifts and training in traffic control, fall protection and scaffolding erection.
